<p>A strong brand is invaluable as the battle for customers intensifies day by day. It’s important to spend time investing in researching, defining, evolving and building your brand. After all, your brand is the source of a promise to your customer.</p>
<p>The objectives that a good brand will achieve include:</p>

<p>Brand identity is the visual and verbal expression of a brand. Identity supports, expresses, communicates and visualises the brand. You can see it, touch it, hold it, hear it, and watch it move. A successful brand is any product, service or organisation for which people believe there’s no substitute. A brand identity increases awareness and builds businesses.</p>
<p>From the first impression of well crafted stationary to the weight of a corporate brochure, printed collateral to your website and online marketing, all can help to move you nearer to the point of making a sale.</p>
<p>Here’s an example of why you might have a rethink of your brand</p>
<p>The quality of digital printing has improved leaps and bounds in recent years, it’s now seen as the go-to option for short run printing. Colour consistency and fast lead times are words that put a smile on any customers face. Optima Digital were a well-established digital printing and mailing company who supply it all using state of the art equipment and processes, unfortunately their brand was still dancing to the sounds of the 90’s and desperately needed some new threads plus, there was some confusion in the market with a similar but different business using the Optima name.</p>
<p>First thing to go was the name, out went Optima Digital and in came iprintplus, ‘i’ for information, ‘print’ because that’s what they do around the clock and ‘plus’ because there’s more to this company than just printing! The client wanted a modern, refreshing, colourful, dynamic logo in tune with the industry and engaging to clients. The ‘i’ became the focal point, it was stylised to form an abstract character, used as a stand-alone element and italicised to convey speed of delivery and service. Now for the specky part, because there’s more than one string to this company’s operations bow, we added a byline to the logo that can be changed as new services are added and marketed. Splashed with a full set of CMYK colours and a unique shade of lime green representing the environmental advantages digital printing offers, the logo covered all bases. </p>
<p>The result – iprintplus was a rebrand that certainly hit the ground running and quickly established its own, new identity that is fresh, up to date and easily recognisable.</p>

				<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>The dust mite is a microscopic insect that is found in high concentrations in bedroom mattresses, pillows, sofas, carpets, rugs and general dusty areas of the house. Dust mites love moisture and warmth, coming to the surface of mattresses at night while we sleep.</p>
<p>The waste products of dust mites cause aggravation in a range of conditions such as asthma, hayfever,allergies and sinus problems.</p>
<p>Steps to minimise dust mites in your home;-</p>
<ul>
<li>Air and clean your mattress, covers and pillows regularly in the open air and sunlight</li>
<li>Remove fluffy toys, cushions, fluffy rugs, animal skins and curtains from the bedrooms</li>
<li>Wash materials in hot water and eucalyptus oil rinse</li>
<li>Vacuum and damp dust window sills, cupboards, shelves, etc twice weekly. Use a damp cloth instead of a feather duster</li>
<li>Put toys in a plastic bag and freeze for 24 hours and then wash in warm or hot water every few weeks</li>
<li>Use “dust mite free” bedroom accessories</li>
<li>Avoid lying on carpets or low areas where dust mites are concentrated</li>
<li>Keep pets out of the bedrooms and regularly vacuum areas they use</li>
<li>Wear a face mask when cleaning while dust is spread into the air</li>
<li>Discard unnecessary ornaments such as silk flowers as they collect dust and are difficult to clean</li>
<li>Keep books in an enclosed bookcase and make sure they are regularly cleaned</li>
<li>Close your windows on windy days and open on still sunny days</li>
<li>Invest in a vacuum cleaner with a HEPA filter and motorised head which cleans carpets deeply and prevents the redistribution of dust into the air</li>
<li>Invest in a portable or fully ducted home air filter unit</li>
<li>Get professional cleaning for central ducted air-conditioners</li>
</ul>

<p>The answer to this can not summed up in one short newsletter, but we will be working on this in future newsletters to give you tools that can assist you in mastering the sales process. Why is this so important?</p>
<p>You can have the best product, the best people and the best business, but unless you can get potential customers to buy from you, then the future success of the business is limited.</p>
<p>Before we get in to the strategies for improving sales, we must first understand what makes people buy. People buy based on their needs and wants and the way you approach these two different aspects will assist in determining your success. Having said that, no matter what the reason for the purchase, there is always going to be a level of emotion in a purchase and you need to be able to identify what that emotional trigger is with your potential purchaser.</p>
<p>You may have a process in place that you and your salespeople use that may be giving you mixed results. Your going through the process and you think you have the purchaser, but when it comes to closing the sale you do not win the business.</p>
<p>It can be frustrating, but it comes down to understanding why they did not purchase. In most cases the purchaser was not comfortable with because you did not accomplish the three musts that are needed to enable a purchaser to buy.</p>
<p>1) The purchaser must love your product or your service</p>
<p>2) The purchaser must love and trust you</p>
<p>3) The purchaser must love and trust your company</p>
<p>Until you have established the above three musts with the purchaser they will not buy. These three musts need to be continually established throughout the buying cycle, not when you are closing at the end, no matter what you are selling. It is imperative that your sales process involves lowering the purchasers threshold to buy by achieving the three musts in closing a sales.</p>
<p>KEY TIP: You should be working on closing a potential purchaser from the first time you make contact with them and right through the sales cycle.</p>

A few months on he realised that the leads he was receiving from members of the group were far from his ideal clients, and that being so heavily referral focused meant the group failed to provide the personal support he was looking for as a relatively new soloist.<br />
He switched from his original, highly structured, networking group to one with a similar level of commitment, but a more relaxed approach and was relieved to no longer be on the lookout for referral opportunities morning, noon and night.<br />
The new group proved to be a real turning point for him.<br />
“I’ve only picked up two or three referrals from the members of my new group,” he told me, “but I’ve gained more than 30 new clients by applying the advice they’ve shared with me.”<br />
“ Armed with the understanding that his ideal client lives or works within a very small radius of his place of business, he is busily putting himself out there in our local community. ”<br />
This is a far better fit for Garry than the original, pushy group. The new gang have helped my mate realise his business can gain a lot more from his networking than simple sales, and that has spurred him into action.<br />
Armed with the understanding that his ideal client lives or works within a very small radius of his place of business, he is busily putting himself out there in our local community. He’s chatting with shopkeepers and people at bus stops, volunteering for the kids’ soccer team, and setting up opportunities for other locals to connect with each other.<br />
In some contexts, this approach could feel a little creepy, but in Garry’s case it doesn’t, because it’s a natural fit with his outgoing personality. More importantly though, it’s because when he approaches you for a chat, you instantly sense he has no hidden agenda.<br />
No sales pitch, no e-mail newsletter signup, no hassling you to take his business card. Just a genuine interest in people, a thirst for exchanging ideas, and an open mind about where the conversation may lead.<br />
